First of all, here, it is written centRE.
The accent left aside (that will require a dedicated post), people tend to speak a strange english here... Just like British people...
So we went south, to the real Bombay (for those who don't know, we actually live and work in the suburbs).
As usual, we booked our day for the expedition: due to BBC* (bumpy busy crazy roads), it takes a hefty 2 hours to go in the centRE of the city.
We first got stuck in Bandra by a holy creature (you don't know it, but you have gods everywhere in Belmont of the Loire **):
The road cleared off pretty soon, but the worst was to come. Unknowingly, we set off for the sea link (no, it was not at night, it is just that it was too big to fit in the camera, so the picture is from internet):
And then we arrived in Bombay, the real Bombay:
We saw the famous washing pits. People use to come here to do all the city laundry. The drying is done by hitting the clothes with a stick. Some still do (which I suppose is the explanation why our T shirts have all grown one size since we gave them to wash).
And then we got stuck in traffic. So we started to take pictures:
And since the traffic was not getting better, we took more pictures:
And more:
And more:
And after 2 hours of traffic, we got a phone call:
So we decided to call it a day and go to meet Thierry.
Which took us...
....2 hours
